1. About this document

This document sets out the current fees for services provided by Sussex Speech Studio. It should be read alongside the Terms of Service.

You will be informed of the applicable fee before a service is arranged.

Fees may be reviewed from time to time. You will be given advance notice of any changes that affect services you already receive.

2. Initial consultation and assessment

Initial telephone or video consultation - free

Up to 15 minutes to discuss your concerns about your child’s speech, language or communication, answer any initial questions and consider whether I may be able to help.

Initial assessment - £175

Includes review of the information provided and preparation for the assessment, up to 60 minutes of direct assessment and feedback, clinical notes, analysis of findings, and a written summary with recommendations.

Extended initial assessment - £250

Includes review and preparation, up to 90 minutes of direct assessment and feedback, clinical notes, analysis of findings, and a written summary with recommendations.

If an extended initial assessment is recommended, this will be discussed and agreed with you in advance.

3. Therapy

60 minute therapy session - £100

Includes up to 60 minutes of direct therapy, together with routine planning, preparation, clinical notes and brief liaison related to the session.

45 minute therapy session - £75

Includes up to 45 minutes of direct therapy, together with routine planning, preparation, clinical notes and brief liaison related to the session.

4. Additional professional services

Progress report - £150

A concise report summarising relevant background, progress or current findings and recommendations.

Comprehensive assessment report - £300

A detailed report following more extensive assessment. This includes analysis of assessment findings, communication strengths and areas requiring support, the impact on everyday functioning, recommendations and strategies where appropriate.

Annual Review report - £200

A report for an EHCP Annual Review. Includes review of the current EHCP and relevant information from other professional reports, where provided.

Annual Review report and meeting - £300

Includes the Annual Review Report, review of the current EHCP and other relevant documents, preparation for and attendance at an Annual Review meeting of up to 60 minutes, and clinical notes.

Meeting - £100

Up to 60 minutes, including routine preparation and clinical notes. Meetings may be with parents, school staff or other professionals and may take place in person or by video call.

Meetings will only take place with your prior agreement.

School observation - £100

Includes an observation of up to 60 minutes, together with routine preparation, clinical notes and brief feedback to parents following the observation.

School observations will be agreed with you in advance.

Speech and language consultation - £150

Up to 60  minutes to discuss your concerns about your child’s speech, language or communication, existing assessment findings, strategies or next steps. Includes review of relevant information provided in advance and a short written summary of recommendations following the consultation.

If a substantial review of documents is required before the consultation, any additional professional time and cost will be discussed and agreed with you in advance.

Additional professional work - £50 per 30 minutes

For professional letters, forms or other requested work not included in the services above. The work and expected cost will be discussed and agreed with you in advance.

Training for parents and school staff - £150

Up to 60 minutes of training focused on strategies or approaches to support your child. Includes preparation and a brief supporting handout.

5. Travel

There is no additional travel charge for appointments within Brighton & Hove.

Face to face appointments outside Brighton & Hove may be available by prior agreement. Where additional travel costs are incurred, these will be discussed and agreed with you in advance.
