My approach

Speech therapy looks different for every child, because every child communicates differently. My approach is to start where your child is at now. To understand how they express themselves, what motivates them, and what helps them feel most comfortable and confident.

I work closely with families to build communication skills through play, curiosity, and shared understanding. Sessions are relaxed, practical, and focussed on what matters most to you and your child. I believe children make the greatest progress when therapy feels enjoyable, meaningful, and connected to real life.

Rather than focusing on what a child "can't do", we explore what they can do, and we use that as the foundation for learning new skills. I show children and families how small changes in interaction, language and environment can open new ways to communicate and connect.

Progress looks different for every child. Sometimes it's a new sound, a new word, or a new kind of confidence. Sometimes it's a family learning how to support communication more easily at home or in school. However it happens, we celebrate it together.

My goal is for every child I work with to feel heard, understood, and proud of how they communicate in their own voice, and in their own time.

Values in practice

The way I work is guided by a few core values that shape every session: enjoyment, transparency, effectiveness, trust, and partnership.

They show up in small ways. In the laughter that makes learning stick, in the openness of each conversation, in celebrating progress, however it looks.

For me, these values aren't just words on a page; they're what turn therapy into shared understanding and real communication growth.
